Chef Guy Theunissen is turning this popular bar-with-a-view
into a food destination, but it’s still popular for sundowners.
Spotted Leonardo DiCaprio, Zac Efron, Orlando Bloom,
Robbie Williams, Justin Bieber, Paris Hilton, and just about every
international rugby team. Local regulars include Roxy Louw, Mark Boucher,
Graeme Smith and too many models to mention.
What to wear In anything body-con if you’re brave
enough.
When to go Sunday night is party night – DJ Sox has
been the resident Sunday night DJ for 10 years. For a younger crowd Fridays and
Saturdays are good.
Your order Try their delicious burgers – there’s a
two-for-one winter special from 12pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday. Wash it down
with a Pink Passion cocktail. Shots come with the teeritory – remember to call
a cab.

institution for afternoon tea in the conservatory or elegant lounge; pre-dinner
champagne in Planet Bar or fine dining at Planet Restaurant. The guests are as

What to wear Got any Chanel? A twinset wouldn’t be
out of place. Think modern classics and good tailoring, and do have your hair

When to go Peak hour for celeb spotting is during
after-work drinks at the Planet Bar. If you want to mingle with the guests,
book The Epicure winter special, on until end-October at R1 500 per person
sharing. It includes an aperitif in Planet Bar followed by a five-course dinner
with wine pairings at Planet Restaurant, as well as a night’s stay and
