If you are so busy with the work that you have to stay up late, a light meal will provide you with the amount of energy that you need. And, you should have careful food choices. The followings are healthy late-night foods that won’t make you fat.

Vegetables contain a great amount of vitamin, minerals and other essential nutrients. They also contain water, so you won’t be thirsty eating them. Besides, vegetables are low-fat and low-calories, so we can be carefree eating lots of them.

Having dishes of vegetables at night will be good for digestive system, and won’t cause energy storage or obesity. Vegetables should be cooked in medium temperature to keep the vitamins of the vegetables and prevent poisoning.

Nevertheless, pasta, French fried and white bread will increase the level of blood sugar, which leads to poor sleep. Therefore, you should choose foods like oatmeal, fibrous grains, or whole-grain toast.

Before bed time, drinking a glass of warm milk is the best sleeping pill. Milk will help you sleep more easily and more soundly. That’s because milk has tryptophan-a substance causing drowsiness. Having a glass of warm milk before bed won’t make our weight increase but will provide calcium to our body.

On the other hand, to avoid gaining weight by eating late, you should eat something like wood ears which provide a great amount of nutrient. But if you eat wood ear at night, the stomach can hardly absorb the nutrient in it; the nutritious compound will decrease or turn into toxic. Particularly, you shouldn’t choose seafood like fish, shrimp, octopus to eat at night because when it isn’t completely digest, it’ll produce degradation substances and cause damage to liver’s and kidney’s functions. Moreover, seafood is cold so that you can have stomachache or cold… by eating it at night. Another thing is that you shouldn’t drink tea at night because it will cause trouble sleeping; the vitamins in it will be discomposed; cholesterol and sugar compound will turn into harmful bacteria. Therefore, do not drink tea at night.
