popular skin issues to have better knowledge about their factors and
treatments.
1. Skin rash
Skin rash is a popular skin issue to
children. It includes eruption, swelling in skinfolds, especially in the neck,
inguinal area… and often happens to chubby children who are under 6 months.

skin is irritated, has spots which are similar to the eruption and appears on
skinfold areas. Children often have pains and discomforts in those skin areas
when contacting to other objects, such as when taking shower or causing rub by

Factors: the
moisture is prevented from coming out, which leads to skin closeness and rash.
What to do:
Clean the skinfolds with water and keep them dry all the time. Use a dedicated
cream to treat and prevent the rash.
2. Heat rash
It’s also called Miliaria and able to
appear in the face, neck and back.
Signs: Red
small spots.
Factors:
Baby’s skin is not good at adjusting the temperature, so if the weather is too
hot or moisture, or if you make them wear tight clothes in a long time..., it
can lead to heat rash.
What to do: Keep
baby’s body comfortable and dry. Dress them with clothes that help them feel
cool and aren’t tight. When the weather is too hot, you shouldn’t let babies
play outside.
3. An increase of sebum secretion
Children have the disease often have
eruption on the scalp and eyebrow skin area, the behind of the ear or above the
neck, face and chest. Those are places that have a great deal of sweat
accumulations. The disease is popular to children that are under 6 months old.
Signs: It
appears on the scalp and eyebrow. There’s an increase in sebum secretion, which
looks like scurf. On the behind of the ear, the increase of sebum secretion
tends to cause ruptures and scab on the chest and neck. It’s possible that
there’re some ulcers can on baby’s skin and cheeks. The disease won’t cause
discomforts or pains to children.
Factors: So
far, the factors of the disease haven’t been disambiguated.
Use
olive oil to treat sebum secretions.
What to do:
Rub on the skin a little bit olive oil then wash it clean. Or when taking bath,
you can let children use shampoos which are dedicated for children. Clean the
ear area and nape to help children cope with the situation.
4. Eczema
The eczema is easily mistaken as erythema
and skin inflammation; chaps often appears on cheeks, in arm skinfold, ankles,
ears and necks. Children that often scratch can have infection, yellow fluid
secretions which caused by flakiness.
Signs: It
appears on the patched area and makes the skin turn to red, discharge pus and
have scabbiness.
Factors: It
can be heritable: family members have histories in allergy, due to dry air
leads to skin dryness, or clothes: synthetic fabric or wool can cause allergy
to sensitive skin.
What to do:
Gently clean the skin then apply cream that is dedicated for skin infected with
eczema twice a day. On severer cases, you should ask for doctor’s consults. You
can also take notice of soaps or lotions that babies are using because they can
worsen the situation.
5. Atopic dermatitis
It
is the reaction happening when children contacting with soaps or detergents….

Factors:
Strange chemicals in clothes or daily implements that baby’s skin often contact
to.
What to do:
Take care of the moisture in the skin areas having allergy. If the itches get
worse, ask for doctor’s consults about using hydrocortisone or antihistamines.
Besides, prevent babies from contacting to things that can easily cause allergy
to baby’s sensitive skin like soaps, detergents….
