60g butter, chopped
·
⅓ cup plain flour
·
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

2½ cups milk
·
2 cups grated tasty cheese
·
6 fresh lasagne sheets
·
2 cups cold Basic Savoury Mince
·
¼ cup finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
Recipe
1. Preheat oven to
200°C/180°C fan-forced. Grease a 1.5-litre (6-cup) round, shallow ovenproof
dish. Place on a baking tray. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over
moderate heat. Add the flour and nutmeg; cook and stir for 1 minute or until
combined. Gradually whisk in milk. Bring to the boil. Simmer for 2 minutes or
until thick. Add ⅔ cup of the cheese; cook and stir for a further 2 minutes or
until melted and combined. Remove from heat. Season. Pour into prepared dish.
2. For each scroll,
place a lasagne sheet on a flat work surface. Spread with ⅓ cup Basic Savoury
Mince; sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of the remaining cheese. Roll up from a short
edge to form a log. Trim ends. Cut into three equal pieces. Place, cut-side up
and side by side, in sauce in dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese between scrolls.
3. Bake for 30
minutes or until golden and bubbling. Stand for 10 minutes. Serve sprinkled
with parsley.
