Watch excess pounds fall away in just one long weekend with Patrick’s three-day detox

Day one

Description: The ultimate detox plan (Part 2)

 

Breakfast: Fruit and seed salad

Snack: One pear with a handful of pecan nuts

Lunch: Sandwich with 1 salmon fillet, 1 large slice of pumpernickel rye bread with salad and super green mix

Snack: Guacamole with crudités

Dinner: Leek cannellini bean and potato soup (serves 2)

Ingredients: ½ tablespoon olive oil, 2 cloves crushed garlic, 2 large sliced leeks, 2 medium cubed potatoes, 600ml boiling water, 3 teaspoon Marigold reduced-salt vegetable bouillon powder, 410g cannellini beans, freshly ground black pepper

Method: Simmer for 15 minutes

Day two

Description: Quinoa salad

Breakfast: Smoothie with a mix of seeds

Snack: Roasted pumpkin seeds

Lunch: Fillet of salmon coated in paprika, with 75g boiled Puy lentils, 1 tablespoon tomato purée and a large green salad

Snack: A handful of olives, plus a smoothie or a juice

Dinner: 75g quinoa cooked in boiling water with 1 teaspoon Marigold reduced-salt vegetable bouillon power. Serve with a selection of roasted vegetables, including ½ sweet potato, ½ red onion, ½ red pepper, ½ courgette, 1 clove crushed garlic, 100g cherry tomatoes mixed with 1 tablespoon olive oil, 2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds and super greens mix

Day three

Description: Carrot and red lentil soup

Breakfast: Smoothie made with 1 small banana, 1 small punnet blueberries and orange juice

Snack: Houmous with a handful of crudités

Lunch: Carrot and red lentil soup (serves 2)

Ingredients: ½ tablespoon olive oil, 1 clove crushed garlic, ½ chopped onion, 1 large celery stick 2 carrots, 100g red lentils, 500ml vegetable stock

Method: Simmer in a large pan for around 10 minutes, then stir in some super greens mix

Snack: One apple and a handful of walnuts

Dinner: 75g brown basmati rice with 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds, 3 tablespoon olives 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 clove crushed garlic, handful each basil, rocket and a baby spinach, juice ½ lemon, black pepper
