Eating
It is not
difficult to find a wonderful place for dinner at Vancouver. Talented chefs
tend to create new food every day. Menu is changed in seasons and has
diversified taste of international cuisine. At first, do not miss the famous
eating place mentioned before – Hawksworth restaurant – which was founded and
managed by one of the leading chefs. The restaurant’s style is close-knit to
the diversity in Vancouver’s culture. The restaurant is designed luxirously
with such expensive art collections that everyone has to praise. The most
noteworthy dish here is passionate Canadian food – the food made up by two
kinds of leading basil, the most delicious fresh ingredient of the area.
Hawksworth’s chef has special cuisine technique which is showed by unique taste
and good-looking presentation through his famous foods.

Hawksworth’s
seasonal menu is also noteworthy. The aperitif is not only good and typical,
but also very artistic. You also have chance to enjoy peach bread with green
apple and groose’s liver; or 48-hour stewed beef chop with black pepper, honey,
green papaya, peanut, Thai basil; or salmon aromatized with avocado together
with crisply-dried amaranth, pecan, and coriandrum sativum. The main disks are
no less wonderful. If you like meat, you can have stewed sheep with soup, okra,
pomegranate, and Mongolian curry. Seafood gastronomers can order Nova Scotia
with sugro prawn, artichoke leaves, mandarin and sherry; or sablefish with
maitake, chayote and tom yum drink. In addition, save room for desserts at the
end of the meal.
Next to dinner
area is three other specialized areas designed by group of architects winning the
Canadian prize - Munge & Leung. The first is The Bar and Lounge area, where
you enjoy kinds of artistic cocktail from fruitjuice, herbs, and alcohol drinks
made at home as well as collections of high-grade wine and fresh beer. Beside
it is a luxurious area called Pearl Room with high flashy bars. Finally, there
is a Jazz area - York Room – partly showing art in the genral Vancouver general
picture. The room is decorated with sparkling crytal lights and can contain big
parties with 60 seats for normal party and 110 for stand-up party. Moreover,
art exhibition here is famous for the artist Rodney Graham’s traditional works.
If you want to
change the taste, you can choose some other ideal places in the city.
Typically, there is Chambar restaurant (562 Beatty St., Gastown, chambar.com).
The Belgian chef here - Nico Schuermans - is also the owner of the restaurant.
Nico Schuermans and his wife, Karri, mix traditional values of Belgium such as
venison and dried dish with typical Moroccan taste such as tajine and couscous,
which creates a distinction for the food here. Another higher-grade place is
Black + Blue restaurant (1032 Albern St., Downtown, blackandblue.ca) – a
restaurant that has just opened but become well-known quickly as a wonderful
place to hold evening party. This 3-storey restaurant has become the most
famous place with many high-grade dishes from Wagyu, the US, and Canada, as
well as kinds of fish and shellfish. If you are looking for a newer and
stranger taste than the one at home, come to Haba Izakaya restaurant (1479
Robson St., hapaizakaya.com), a Japanese-style lounge with modern architecture
and full of vitality. The pub can help you enjoy a romantic and warm dating
evening and serves Tokyo snack with moerish Asian spices. If possible, you and
your friends can gather at Lobby Lounge and Terrance (at Fairmont Pacific Rim
Hotel, 1038 Canada Place, Fairmont.com/pacificrim), or high-grade lounge that
has Asian tendency, Oru. It is famous for creative menu and outdoor kitchen, and
