chemically affect the brain and help reduce worry or depression.
Professors from the University of South
Bohemia (Czech Republic) carried out a study about the relationship between
eating yogurt daily and improve depression. 20 students that had good strength
participated in the experiment of eating 250ml yogurt a day in 6 weeks. Blood
tests were taken before and during the process to have the comparison to the
group of 20 other students that didn’t eat yogurt.
Worry,
stress, stress increase… are signs of depression.
In the same stressful condition, the second
group has the increase of lymphosytes which are specialized cells of the immune
system. The decrease of lymphocytes is considered to be the consequences of
suffering from stress, which leads to weakened immune system. To the group that
eat yogurt regularly, the number of white blood cells increases obviously.
White blood cells can help the body fight against infectious diseases and
strange objects in blood, improve the health and provide relaxing sensation to
human.
Another research was carried out by
scientists of The Academy of Sciences of the USA to examine the effects of
lactobacillus rhamnosus bacteria greatly contained in yogurt on mice. Those
mice would be applied a special regimen that provides Lactobacillus rhamnosus
bacteria in 28 days. Later on, the researchers recognized that the brain of
those mice had some certain developments. The low level of stress relates to
Cortiscosterone hormone changing in helping reduce worry and depression.
Yogurt
can be a depression treatment for human.
To bring out the result of whether yogurt
can be a depression treatment for human or not, scientists have to keep on
doing the research on people and other clinical trial. However, the research
has showed new evidences of the relationship between intestinal flora system
and the functions of the central nervous system, especially on neurotransmitter
substances. Therefore, the scientists think that providing the necessary
probiotic bacteria to the body will improve the anxious state of mind as well
as reduce irritable bowel syndromes.
The scientists from The McMaster University
(Canada) and The Cork University (Ireland) made a series of behavior tests on
mice, measured the level of Corticosteron hormone, studied about the role of
the vagus nerve, and examine the brains of the mice by using chemical method in
order to detect the particular activities of GABA, an amino acid that helps
maintain the normal activities of the brain, especially the neural system.

It resulted that the mice following the
Lactobacillus rhamnosus regimen would have the behaviors which are less
stressful than the behaviors of others that aren’t provided those
micronutrients. Additionally, to the mice that had nutritious regimen, the
level of stress causing by Corticosteron is considerably lower than the ones
that didn’t. The scientists emphasized the important role of bacteria in
intestine, the combination of the beneficial bacteria and the brain, and
considered this as an additional treatment of stress-related disorders, such as
nervous and depression.
The scientists also focused on studying
sensible diets that can fight against stress. Reducing stress can help control
the body’s weight. Many people that are overweight or obese don’t know food
they use daily can be a factor causing stress. Being stressed for a long time
can cause health issue, such as heart diseases, high blood pressure, stomach
ulcer, asthma, weight increase which can lead to obesity or overweight)… For

To improve the mood and prevent stress, you can eat yogurt, almond, pistachio, papaya,
salmon, oyster, clams, shrimps, and nuts. Vitamin B will increase the amount of

also called Folate, will help improve mood. Nuts help provide vitamin B6 while
fish and yogurt can provide vitamin B12.

Additionally, eating too much sugar
increases blood sugar and insulin producing. This project makes the adrenal
(the 2 glands that are located above the kidneys are in charge of managing
stressful situation) hardly able to adjust the stress hormones, protect the
body from stress and help thyroid to adjust the weight. Drinking alcohol too
much can also cause damage to the adrenal.
