There’re many foods that often used in
summer for its cool natures and medium appetites. However, people should know
about right choosing and using of the foods to avoid being poisoned.
The US Food and Drugs Administration (FDA)
have just published the list of poisonous foods that are used the most in
summer.
1. Non-root sprout
Non-root sprout is grown by herbicide.
Meanwhile, herbicide contains harmful matters that can cause cancer,
teratogenicity and mutation.

The colors of seaweed can product peptide,
cyclic and Fucose which are harmful toxic products. If seaweed turn to violet
blue after being soaked in cold water, that seaweed are poisoned before being
dried and packed.

3. Uncooked green beans
Green beans contain saponin and lectins
which have strong effects on stimulating the digestion. It can also cause
inflammatory hemorrhage and dissolution of red cells. In green beans, there’s
hemagglutinin that with a red blood cell aggregations can cause poisoning after
being eaten. Therefore, eating uncooked green beans tend to cause poisoning.

4. Unfinished pickles
In summer, pickles are popular foods to
many families but, eating unfinished pickles can be very dangerous. That’s
because in the first few days of pickling, the microorganism will transfer
nitrate into nitric, make the level of nitric increase and decrease pH
gradually, which means the level of acid is increased gradually. The pickles in
the period of time are hot, pungent and a little bit bitter as they aren’t
qualified. The pickles contain lots of nitrate which is harmful to the body.

5. Ice-cream
Ice-cream is often infected with Salmonella
and Staphylococcus. Using raw eggs to make ice-cream at home, it’s very
possible the ice-cream will be infected with Salmonella which can cause
abdominal pains and diarrhea.
