Mothers always worry that their kids do not
know the way how to learn, do not catch up with lessons, or do not focus on
studying as other friends; but mothers always love their children and do not
ask them to have to learn so much that they do not have time for playing.
Therefore, mothers should consult these
methods as bellow in order to improve their children’s learning skills.
There
are many funny ways to learn how to spell.
Learn words by pictures
Parents can make cards, on the front side,
asking children to draw pictures concerned to learning-words; depending on
levels, pictures can be from simple to complex. On the back side, write the
first letter of that word – that can be considered as suggestion, or another
form of exercises depending on your invention and using. For example, kids
learn to spell “apple”, let them draw an apple on the front side of card, and
“a_ _l_” on the back side.
Whenever putting out one card, ask children
to spell loudly that word or fill in the blank on the back side of card. You
are able to let them write that word in their notebook (in case that you also
use the cards again). If they write or spell wrong, require them to concentrate
to write that word about 5 times.
Both learning and eating
There is a sweet way for studying that
parents give children cookies, jam, ice-cream, chocolate, and so on. Let them
write letters (or words) on cookies by their own finger, both writing and
reading.
If you want your children not to eat sweet
too much, as well as create opportunities for ants to appear, you can change
materials into rice or beans in order that they can arrange beans to letters or
write on sand, etc. However, you need to remind your kids not to put these
materials in their mouth.

Record lesson
Record sound of reading and spelling words
in mp3 player, cell phone, or computer and often turn on that record until
children can remember words. Parents can let children record a sort paragraph
by themselves in above equipment, then play it and require children to dictate
follow the record. What a wonderful way when kids can become a teacher for
their own dictation.

Learn through notes
That way can apply for both adults and
children. For difficult words, you can let children write down on note paper
and paste them on wall around your house, for example on refrigerator, bathroom
door, or bed.
Read and stick
You can help your babies improve
comprehensive skill by making questions before telling a story. Ask them to
stick or underline important words in questions, for example in questions “Who
is main character?” Therefore, when reading story, children are easy to find
out answer.
Read loudly
If your children have trend of learning by
ears, encourage them to read loudly or whisper. By that way, information will
save into children’s memory more easily and effectively.
Play detective games
Improve kids’ ability of concentration by
requiring them to answer questions or make their own questions including “Who?”
“What?” “Where?” “Why?” “When?” “How?” in each story. That will also help
children find out significant details in lessons.
Learn how to write an assignment
This is the lesson for little older kids,
and also for adults: make a mind map. You can guide children to write question
in central circle of paper or notebook. Then write answers in around circles
which are linked with central circle.
For example, your kids have to do an
assignment with topic: “What can you do to protect environment?” This question
is in central circle, and around circles are “Do not litter”, “Do not pick
flowers”, and so on. After writing down all ideas, your children can rewrite to
a compete assignment. Base on mind map, you are not worried about lack of any
important information in kids’ assignment.
