Former
'Gossip Girl' star Blake Lively is known for her impeccable sense of style, so
when she offers a designer a compliment, she means it! Blake, who has
previously appeared in campaigns for fashion houses such as Chanel and Gucci,
was in attendance at the Michael Kors Autumn/Winter 2014 show which was held as
part of New York Fashion Week and she praised the American designer for
creating timeless classics that can be re-worn anytime. She appeared to be in
complete awe of his new designs and was open about sharing her opinion on the
designer.
Blake
believes that Michael has a powerful women in mind when designing who is
"fully realised" and self-assured. She also added that Kors creates
pieces for women who are fashion-forward but still want to look
effortless: ''He has such iconic shapes, and when you look at a Michael
Kors woman, she's fully realised. There's nothing trite or young about her,
she's got her fingers on the pulse of fashion, but it doesn't seem trendy, it
seems timeless.''
Blake
says she has always been a fan of the designer and in recent times they've also
formed a friendship but she will forever be a huge fan because he is such an
impressive designer: ''I am both a fan and a friend. I started as a fan,
and I became a friend, but I will be a fan always.'' The actress was
spotted taking a front row seat at the show alongside other big name stars such
as Freida Pinto and Michael Douglas.
