Beyonce's
stylish sister Solange Knowles may be known for her bright and bold
fashion-sense that always makes a big statement, but the DJ-turned-designer
says her look is currently evolving to become more subtle. She says she loves
to experiment and is getting bored with her usual bright look, so has been
toning it down lately: ''I might be having a little evolution in my style
- it's been a lot more subtle. I had a bit of print fatigue, it's
been a part of who I am for as long as I can remember. But you want to
evolve and experiment. That's part of the fun and the joy of being a woman.''
Solange
admits she doesn't sacrifice her style at festivals and wears heels even though
it makes it more difficult for her to walk around. She prefers to dress as she
would for any other day: ''I do not change my style for festivals. So I've
actually been know to be ridiculed a little bit because I've worn my platforms
for festivals, I've worn anything I would wear for everyday life.''
Speaking
on what her wedding dress would look like if she was to tie the knot in the
future (she is currently dating director Alan Ferguson), Solange comments that
she would select a very simple slip style dress with thin straps, teamed with
wedges. She admits she would stray away from her usual style and go for
something minimal: ''I like the idea of a really minimal, spaghetti strap,
maybe 90s, slip dress, with a nice sensible heel. Maybe a wedge.
Keeping it simple and minimal.''
