There’re lots of diseases that tend to
happen in hot seasons. Therein, diseases cause by microorganisms is much worth
worrying than others, especially when it becomes epidemic. Knowing factors
causing diarrhea in summer can help us find the way to prevent it in order to
minimize its harmful effects on human.
There’re
lots of diseases that tend to happen in hot seasons.
Factors of diarrhea in hot seasons
In hot weather, there’re changes in daily
life style of people. Hot weather provides good conditions for microorganism
developments, especially harmful bacteria. There’re many microorganisms having
strong developments in summer, ones of them are digestive microorganisms. The
microorganisms that cause intestine diseases in hot weathers include virus,
bacteria or micro-fungi. The most noticeable intestinal microorganisms that can
cause diarrhea in summer is vibrio cholera (V. cholera). The V. cholera is
extremely harmful: at the same time, in a locality, it could be many of people
who don’t have immunity against the V. cholera can be infected with it.
The symptoms of diarrhea are caused by V.
cholera are very obvious. The diseases is complicated, patients who have a
great loss of water and electrolytes in a short time. Therefore, it’s very
possible that the disease can lead to cardiovascular collapses and the risk of
death if there’s no timely diagnosis and treatments.
The
most noticeable intestinal microorganisms that can cause diarrhea in summer is
vibrio cholera (V. cholera).
The typhoid bacteria - Salmonella is also a
dangerous factor of diarrhea. The Salmonella belongs to intestine bacteria
group. It has the ability to spread the diseases to many people, especially people
who haven’t had the immunity against Salmonella. The diarrhea caused by thyroid
bacteria is mainly spread through eating and different stages of clinical
colds. A part from digestive disorders (abdominal pains and diarrhea) they also
cause sepsis – a severe disease. Some thyroid cases can have intestine
perforations which can become a matter of life if there’s no timely diagnosis
and treatments. Another factor of diarrhea is dysentery bacteria (Shigella).
These bacteria can cause severe gastrointestinal infections which have symptoms
like acute diarrhea and loose stools sometimes come with blood, which makes the
color of the stools similar to fish blood’s. Diarrhea caused by dysentery
bacteria is of acute diarrhea. In some cases, there’s a great number of loose
defecation in a day, sometimes it’s uncountable as the stools uncontrollably flow
out from the fundament. The dysentery bacteria (Shigella) comprise 4 types of
serum but the most dangerous is type 1 – S.Shiga because it develops diseases
by endotoxin and exotoxin, which cause extreme-severe clinical colds and
complex complications.
E.coli
bacteria are ones of factors causing diarrhea.
E.coli bacteria are ones of factors causing
diarrhea. The bacteria are in human and animal’s stools, so they show up in
many places in the nature, such as in earth, water, air, dust, trash and
insanitary foods. Lately, it’s found that the E.coli had 2 main types: one
carrying diarrhea gene, the other carrying nosocomial gene the bacterial
carrying diarrhea gene can cause diarrhea. The hot season is the most
convenient time for the E.coli to develop, so they tend to cause diseases in
this time of year. Diarrhea caused by E.coli is also a kind of acute diarrhea
and the disease can get worse if there’s no early diagnosis and timely
solution. Diarrhea caused by E.coli can also spread through and foods,
insanitary foods.
The most popular virus is Enterovirus but
the one that much worth noticing is Rotavirus. Rotavirus mainly causes diarrhea
to children. There’re many research showed that the risk of diarrhea caused by
Rotavirus take 27% (in developing countries, the rate is up to 50%). This can
be strictly related to the state of environmental and food hygiene. Diarrhea in
hot season also caused by parasites which can happen to people who have
insanitary foods and drinks, such as uncooked water, raw vegetables and
insanitary ice. Typically, there’re diarrheas caused by parasites like Ascaris,
and dysentery caused by Amip.
Diarrhea preventions
Do
not eat raw vegetables and uncooked foods like blood pudding, undercooked
meat….
To well prevent diarrhea, it’s necessary to
control the stools, sewage, clean the environment and maintain food hygiene. At
the same time, people who have high chance of the diseases should be
vaccinated. That’s because vaccination is the best way to prevent infectious
diseases. On the other hand, we shouldn’t eat raw vegetables, uncooked foods
like bloody pudding, half-done meat (Pho), salads (fish salad). Never eat foods
that are putrid, water that is not boiled, unqualified ice-creams and street
beverages. It’s necessary to wash hands with soap and wear gloves for cooking.
Do not use the same tools to process cooked and uncooked foods. Wash hands with
soap before eating and after using the toilet.
