Fish: sea fish has a mercury content that can slow down the development of the fetus. Raised fish may have a lead content (which cause cancer) and some other poison. So, with types of fish such as: natural salmon, shrimp, soles, snapper, you should use about more than 300 grams/week.

You can use a bit of canned tuna; avoid eating sword-fish, shark, big codfish, frozen seafood and white-meat salmon.

·         Tuna: don’t use more than 170 grams/week.

·         Oyster and shrimp: when they are well cooked, the mercury contentreduces.

·         Raw fish salad, meat and vegetable and rare dishes?

Some food when eating raw may cause listeria infection (causing miscarriage, meningitis and sepsis), disease caused by xanmon bacteria (causing diarrhea) and other dangerous diseases.

Caffeine can cross the placenta and affect the heart as well as the breathing of the fetus, so please limit using it. Don’t use over 300mg caffeine/day.

Herbal tea?

Many types of herbal tea are not safe for the pregnant women, so it’s best to use green tea or black tea having more extra flavors.

Sweeteners?

Sweeteners don’t harm the fetus. However, some experts still warn that sweeteners shouldn’t be used. Try to use healthy drinks such as water and juices.

The cleansing products?

Pregnant women can use all cleansing products (including bleach). However, remember to do the washing in airy places and use rubber gloves to protect your skin. Read the manual carefully before using and avoid combining the chemicals, such as ammonia and bleach (the reaction of which causes toxic gas).

Paint the room?

Let others do this for you and reduce going to the painting areas to avoid the chemicals that may be harmful to your health.

Polish the wooden furniture?

As similar as painting the room, ask others to help you polish things or leave it there after you give birth.

Clean the cat’s bed?

Cat feces can transmit toxoplasma –a parasite disease that can cause defects in the fetus.

Travel by plane?

Till the 35th week, you’re still allowed to be on international trips, and the 36th week with domestic trips… The trips on the second quarter of gestation will be much more comfortable as you normally have appetite.

When flying, you need to sit close to the aisle for the convenience of relieving yourself, or having to stand up to avoid getting tired, and don’t forget to bring your fetal monitoring book.
