We are going to research two learning
methods of babies. Children do not distinguish colors abstractly one by one
such as red or green, but feel completely complex colors like the face of
someone. If they are able to recognize red, then yellow, and green in such
order, to distinguish a face, they need a few years. (In fact, about 5 months
after birth, children can identify their mothers, and know strangers). Ability
of recognizing the world around of children accords to such arrays, especially
from birth to one year old, not distinguish simple or complex, they cognize and
memorize all stimulated informational array. Therefore, in this period, the
more complex things children excited, the better they are. Receptive ability of
babies in this stage compared to any other stages, has the highest effect. We
have to stimulate babies as much as possible in this stage. If complex
stimulation in this time, that will built a complicated groove in their brain.
However, too intensive level and not repeating many times do not create any
marks in baby’s brain.
Receptive
ability of children in newborn stage is better than that in any stages.
It is necessary to repeat enthusiastically
these stimulations. Receptive ability according to array is only in babies,
adults cannot receive whole array any longer. When stimulated with array,
basing on ability of array receptivity children’s brain can record things.
There are no different expressions in the appearance of babies, but in
unconsciousness, they have already received stimulations as pictures saving
memory. Expression of these stimulations is shown up outside when they are 3
months old, the period of beginning developing thinking ability. For example,
for language, when children are over 3 years old, suddenly we see that the number
of children who can speak increase rapidly; even speak difficult words smoothly
and naturally. They have received that achievement according to array since
unconscious period. It is not surprising.
This array not only creates particular
features of baby’s’ speech, but also generates specificities on language and
sound of Japanese, which means Japanese nationality. Babies are able to make
pronunciation exactly with foreign sounds which they heard. From birth to 3
years old is the most sensitive period. This ability decreases after that, and
disappearing in about 6 years old. For each foreign language, there are
particularly different kinds of pronunciation. It is difficult for adults who
begin practicing pronunciation, but it is much easier for babies. As a result,
in the period of 0 -1 year old, we should let babies hear English recorders.
Because receptive ability is the biggest in this period, no matter how they are
complicated, children still receive array easily.
Memorize
one by one
On the other hand, babies are not just
aware things around by remembering array as above. For example, learning to
speak is not the sort of memorizing array; children will remember words that
they meet. If only studying array, definitely their vocabulary do not improve
obviously. So on one side, we let children hear difficult and complex stories,
other side continue repeating for children hearing basic words about things and
phenomena in their daily activities. “For children, do not need to teach them;
they can still know how to speak”, this is wrong point of view and make babies
base on learning just array.

However, experimental observations lately
have shown that babies who are heard a large plenty of words know how to talk
quickly, contents of words are clearer. That is evident, but not anyone knows
it. To remember a single word, babies sometimes have to repeat them thousands
of times. Nevertheless, to remember a next word, just spend a very little part
of last time. In addition, to remember one more word, reaction is faster and
faster. Following this way, reacting path will be established. The earlier
reacting path is created, the deeper and the more enduring it is.
If this path is established late,
definitely it is not nice. Why? Brain cells of newborn babies completely do not
have any relation. After babies are born and receive stimulations from outside,
their brain cells have related to each other. Whenever having links like that
and repeating continuously, the path combining cells together is spread more
and more to receive and transmit information with outside. If stimulations are
poor (less stimulation), brain cells are less operated, the linked cell path is
not created; so they cannot become good path. According to this process, up to
6 years old, the path is finished. Once completed, there are no ways to correct
them. From 6 years old, no matter how exciting, no longer can the path be changed,
and there is no vacant to build another path again. In conclusion, since birth,
whether linked cell path (thinking path) created in children’s brain is good or
bad depends on the level of stimulation
