Mother of 2 very young boys! where do you get your energy
from? I get my energy from my kids and doing what I love to do! I’m passionate
about fitness so it drives me forward. And when I get tired and my kids do
something cute or lovable, I feel happy again.
What’s your favorite pick-me-up? Proper rest is important.
As I have a flexible schedule, I’m lucky to be able to nap on some days. That
always does wonders, since I have to be up early for school runs and I work
late into the night when the kids are sleeping. Also, I love my “me
time”—facials, massages, and meeting up with my girlfriends over a good meal.

Of exercises are the most effective for you? I’m a fitness
professional and also a mom of 2 young boys, so I have to say what works is
whatever I can do on that day depending on my schedule. It could be a swim or a
run followed by weights, or a bodyweight workout in the playground whilst my
sons are playing, or taking a class whenever I can. I try to stay active most
days of the week.
How do you find time for your family? We try to set aside
one day a week as family day, where we take it easy and just spend time together.
I do see it important that kids start being active from an early age so the
boys do hang out at Fit for 2 whilst I teach or take a class, and they also
come to the FiT gym which they love. It’s like a big indoor playground for
them! Other than that, we do normal family stuff, such as eating out, watching
movies (the kids’ current favorite is Jurassic Park!) and going to playgrounds
or the pool.

It’s mother’s day. do you have a message for all the mothers
out there? Being a mom is the hardest most challenging job in the world. That’s
what I realized after having my kids. But what doesn’t kill you does make you
stronger. My advice is to enjoy today, enjoy tomorrow, enjoy this whole journey
as a mom and a woman. Every woman and every family will go through different
experiences, so don’t compare. Listen to yourself.
