Last month, Jane Shackleton, 32, took
our four-week challenge to slim and trim her body in time for the party season,
with amazing results. Here’s how you can do it, too…
Worried you’ve left it too late to trim
down for the party season? Relax, with our genius plan, anyone can transform
their body in just four weeks. ‘Stick to the rules of this diet and exercise
plan to the letter and you really can drop a dress size and look and feel
fantastic by the end of the month,’ says its creator, personal trainer Sam
Feltham (smashthefat.com). ‘The rules are so simple and straightforward, it’s
really hard to go wrong.’ Time to start looking for that new LBD…
‘I’ve
done it all with a realistic plan rather than a faddy diet. It hasn’t been
easy”, says Jane
‘I can’t believe I’ve lost a stone and a
dress size in a month,’ says Jane. ‘In some shops, I’m two sizes smaller! I’m
delighted my arms are more toned, my bum is smaller and I’ve reclaimed my
waist. And I’ve done it all with a realistic plan rather than a faddy diet. It
hasn’t been easy - the workouts are tough and the diet was a real change from
the Grab ’N’ Go meals I was used to, but the changes I’ve made are healthy ones
I can make a habit of.
‘I’m so much happier and more confident. I
dreaded the “before” shoot, but I loved the “after” one. Slipping into a dress
knowing I was the slimmest I’d been in ages felt great. I’ve got an LBD body I
can’t wait to show off!’

The six rules for 4-week weight loss
1. Do eat a protein-heavy, low-carb diet, with plenty of non-starchy
veg.
2. Do avoid eating any wheat-based products for the full four weeks
(bread, pasta) and no starchy foods for the first fortnight (potatoes, rice,
oats, couscous).
3. Do complete three LBD circuits a week.
4. Don’t eat more than two pieces of fruit a day or add sugar to tea
and coffee.
5. Do complete two lower-intensity workouts a week (eg a long walk or
gentle bike ride).
6. Don’t drink more than two glasses of wine a week.
