1.
Open windows in the house and leave them opened as long as possible.
Ventilation is almost enough to shoo away cooking smells and others.
2.
Use baking soda to neutralize bad smells. Put a baking coda in your
fridge to deodorize it. Change a new baking soda box each month. Sprinkle
baking soda on the rug to remove pet’s or tobacco’s smells. Leave the baking
soda there for 1 hour before vacuuming it. Sprinkling a little baking soda in
your tennis shoes will help get rid of the bad feet’s smell.
3.
Regularly remove the garbage as it’s one of the most troublesome things
causing bad smells in the house. Clean the garbage bin with all-purpose
cleansers or the mixture of 10 parts water and 1 part bleach at least once a
month.
Use
lemon to clean your garbage bins.
4.
Cut a fresh lemon in half and put it in a pan of simmering water in 5-10
minutes. Lemon can neutralize fish smell or cabbage smell in the kitchen. Let
the lemon cool down then rub it on your garbage bin to remove any remained
smell.
5.
Remove smells by activated charcoal. Fill a plastic or glass box with
activated charcoal then put it in your warehouse, basement or other areas that
have moldy smells.
6.
Place bowls of vinegar around your house to neutralize the smell of
tobacco and refresh the air. Leave the vinegar for 24 hours at maximum. Vinegar
can also be a component of a smell neutralizing spray. Blend 1 part vinegar
with 8 part water then spray the mixture in the air if necessary. Vinegar spray
also has deodorant effects when being sprayed on surfaces like kitchen
counters, bathroom curtains, the inside of the microwave or refrigerator.
Vinegar can neutralize smells and vinegar smell is gone fast.
