Hands up, those who have put on weight over the Christmas/ New Year
holidays. Was it one kilo or two kilos, or was it more?
Well you are not alone and I am as guilty
as you. I have been keeping up the fitness with walking, swimming, running and
tennis. But I have also been enjoying social gatherings with family and
friends, which inevitably involve lashings of carbohydrate and high glycemic
food, along with a wine glass or two of festive cheer.
say “NO” to unhealthy food
In between the fitness and the festive
entertaining, there has been quite a bit of lounging around on the deck of our
beach house and reading books and magazines. This inactivity definitely adds to
the weight gain.
So now that I am back to work, I am looking
forward to shedding those extra kilos.
We have placed an emphasis on losing wright
and looking toned and trimmed – assuming you have all place these request in
you New Year's resolutions.
We are providing tips, motivation and
incredible weight loss stories that will have you in shape in no time. The most
amazing person I interviewed for this was Jared Fogel, otherwise known as the
“Subway Guy”, who downsize from 200kg to 100kg and then ran the New York
Marathon.
One thing remains constant, you do have to
commit and be determined. You do have to learn how to say “no” to unhealthy
food and “yes” to daily exercise.
And
say “YES” to daily exercise.
Best way to increase the exercise is to
sign up for an event that involves an amazing amount of effort and especially along
a distance you have not achieved before.
Once you have signed up and paid your
entrance fee, the next step is to train, train and train – like every day of
the week. OK, you can have one day off.
Keep me posted of your achievements.
