In summer, the scorching sunlight and dirt are dangerous enemies of eyes. This is the convenient moment for harmful virus to develop and cause diseases.  So, what should we do to protect the eyes from summer sunlight?

Contacting to ultraviolet transfer by the scorching sunlight in summer can increase the risk of dangerous eye diseases including dry eyes…. Besides, there are other dangerous elements like wind, dirt, polluted air… can worsen the eye conditions.

The followings are methods that can help you to protect your eyes from the summer sunlight.

Summer sunlight is especially harmful to eyes. To reduce the sunlight effects, you should wear sunglasses when going out. Moreover, the sunglasses can also help you prevent dirt and insects from flying to your eyes.

If you have to work outside usually, you need to protect your eyes take good care of them. Clean the eyes after you finish the work and have preventions for eyes from infectious diseases.

Limit using contact lenses. The contact lenses need cleaning up from times to times especially in hot seasons because those are good conditions for bacterium developments.

Avoid using air-conditioners in summer because it is one of the reasons causing the loss of necessary humidity to maintain the good condition for eyes and skin. The air in air-conditioned room is so dry that it can cause discomfort to eyes. You should put a pot of water in the room to prevent eyes from getting harmed by the dry air of air-conditioners. 

You should choose high-quality eye makeups that provide necessary humidity for the eye areas. Limit eye makeup in summer because it can cause infections to eyes.

Note for taking care of the eyes

·         Get used to starting a new day with cleaning the eyes with cold water. That is very good for eyes and able to create mental charity for working.

·         Using eye drops usually within taking references of eye specialists.

·         Do not read books or newspaper in low light condition.  

·         Do not make the eyes work to tightly (over 2 successive hours). Let the eyes rest in 10 minutes before getting back to work.

·         Do not rub eyes or the areas surrounding them. This tends to cause eye injuries and caused damages to eyes.

·         Never let the lotions or chemicals get into eyes. In the case the chemicals are already got into the eyes, you need to quickly clean them with water.

·         Make sure that your diets provide the necessary nutrients for eyes; vitamin A is highly recommended.
