Everyone is going through a time that they cannot sleep at night for some reason, for example, during college years or for the first time being parents. Sometimes, it’s just that you don’t even have time to get your work done and have a rest at night. Regular lack of sleep may lead to illness and this should be avoided. 1.        Keep it cool

Usually, the last thing you want to do when you’re tired is get warm and this will make you feel sleepy. In contrast, keeping the atmosphere cool may help you awake. Caffeine drinks are totally acceptable, but don’t drink too much as your energy level and blood sugar will drop after a few hours and causing you to feel tired. You can also wash your face with warm water periodically.

2.        Eat small amounts

Eating small amounts is beneficial to your health. Fruits and nuts are the best choices as they are rich in nutrients. Avoid big and heavy meals as they will make you feel tired. Chewing gum after snacks will also help you awake.

3.        Stand up and move

 When you feel tired, you tend to sit around, which is opposite to what you should do. Therefore, you should stand up, go around and combine some stretches or leapfrogging.

4.        Keep the light on
