The weight you gain during pregnancy keeps you and your baby
healthy. Once your child is born, the weight you gain will gone. However, most
women still have some extra pounds after pregnancy. Be patient while you are
still recovering; pregnancy is a complicated physical process. Remember one
saying from the God mother: 9 months gain, 9 months lost. On the other hand, if
you consider wearing the clothes which used to fit you before you got pregnant,
there are many ways to get rid of these extra pounds.
Breastfeed
Breastfeeding is
really good for your baby
One of the fastest ways to lose weight after giving birth is
also one of the cheapest and most healthy ways that you can do for your
children and yourself: breastfeeding. The fat which your body stored during
pregnancy is the fat that is used for breastfeeding. You need 1,800
calories/day to make enough milk for one child; do not reduce the absorption of
calories and make sure you still maintain hydration. You can lose 1 pound/week
only by breastfeeding.
Exercise
Get exercise. Get
back in shape
Ask your doctor when is safe to do exercise. You do not have
to hit the gym to get back in shape after pregnancy. You can play a DVD while
your child is sleeping. Or much better, put your baby in a stroller for a walk.
It’s easy for you and healthy for kid.
Sleep
Try to get 8-hour sleep
everyday
It might be impossible for new moms to have 8-hour sleep
daily. But, you have to make sure you sleep well. When you are tired, your body
releases cortisol and other stress hormones that can promote weight gain. So,
sleep well if you want to be healthy and reduce your weight.
