It’s recommended that you should prepare several
ways to cope with food poisoning.
When someone is poisoned, make them throw
up as much as possible. After they’ve thrown up all the food in their stomach,
the poisoned still be tortured by the nausea, you can use some herbal treatments
to ease the situation.
Having food poisoning makes people
nauseous, dizzy, have diarrhea or fevers sometimes. Usually, those kinds of
symptoms won’t last for more than 24 hours, so, in some cases, you can do the
treatment by yourself. There’re some familiar herbal treatments such as squash,
green beans, black beans… that have the ability to ease the stomach, reduce the
nauseous and discomfort feelings for patients.
Food

Regular poisoning
Being poisoned by eating rancid or
non-hygiene food can cause stomachache, nausea. There’re some herbal
treatments:

30g coriander, 30g squash, ¼ spoon of salt.
Crush out all of them, then decant the liquid from the crushed. That liquid can
be drunk 3 times a day.

1 spoon of green beans and black beans, 30g each
of goose grass, sweet leaf and squash. Crush them all out and take the liquid.
It can be drunk 3 times/day.
·
Prepare 30g green beans, crush the beans out
then mix with water. The green-bean liquid will help patients throw up the
poisoned food.
·
Drink 2 spoons of apple cider vinegar. After
drinking, you should brush your teeth to prevent enamel destruction.
·
Ginger: Boil water with a couple of slices of
fresh ginger or mix 1 tablespoon of ginger powder with water. Drink it once
every 3-4 hours. You can put ginger powder in soda for a better choice.
·
The combination of yogurt and basil: Put 3
spoons of yogurt in a small bowl, then add 1 tablespoon of chopped basil, ¼
teaspoon of salt. After that, mix them all together and use 3 times a day. You
can use it 1 more time in the following morning to completely remove the
sickness.
Green
beans help poisoned people to throw the food up quickly.
You ate poisoned foods
Poisoned honey or toad eggs: Crush out 20g
fresh jackfruit leaf for the liquid. Drink 3-5 minutes after eating the honey
or toad egg.
You ate poisoned fish

Cook 40g shiso leaf with 2 bowls of water until
it become solid that is a cup-fit. Drink it twice a day till the nauseous
feelings are gone.

Crush 40g of squash tops, take the liquid and
drink 3 times a day.
·
Well cook 100g black beans with 1litre of water.
Drink it as water for detoxifying.
Seafood
poisoning:
·
We need 15-20g fresh ginger, 15-20g onion.
·
Cook both of them with 2 cups of water until
there’s 1 cup left.
·
Drink it warm for 2-3 times a day.
Ginger
helps quickly detoxify.
Patient care
When poisoned, patients will throw up a
lot, which leads to water lack and exhaustion. For a good recovery, patients
and their family should take notice to:

Feed patients with soft and easily-digested foods
like gruel, soup…
·
Drink lots of water and drink a little each time.
·
Refuse drinks such as alcohol, beers, coffee.
·
Don’t drink tonic because it contains so much
sugar that can make the diarrhea worse.
·
After getting rid of the nausea, patients can
eat as normal. Note: eat little by little and divide necessary foods into
meals; stay away from greasy foods.
·
Do not take any anti-diarrhea medication for
poisoning treatment because it can worsen the situation.
·
The poisoned should rest and avoid heavy work
for the best recovery.
If you have been rested and had
home herbal treatments for 24 hours but it doesn’t get better, you should go to
the nearest hospital for professional help. Or, if patients have some symptoms
like convulsion, the skin color turns to pale, saliva a lot, sweating,
spasticity in arms and legs, bring them to the hospital right after they are
poisoned.
Patients could have no fever or have high fever that over 38
degrees.

The poisoning symptoms often appear after
several hours eating or drinking poisoned foods. The poisoned will have nausea
and vomit right away, also have stomachache, diarrhea for times. The patient
could have no fever or have high fever that over 38 degrees.
If patients throw up or have liquid poop
for over 5 times, the high fever will make the body suffer from severe
dehydration, which leads to other signs like lip dry, sunken eyes, thirst,
rapid pulse, exhaustion, body convulsion, urine is less and darker, their
family should make them drink more water, or Oresol to make up for the loss of
water and electrolysis. You can mix a teaspoon of salt with 4 teaspoons of
sugar and a liter of water for patients to drink. That can thin down the poison
in the body and minimize the risk.
Many people misunderstand that the poisoned
should fast and have a protein drip or eat gruel. In fact, patients can eat as
normal but foods have to be soft, at liquid state and easily-digested. Do not
let them be over-full to avoid digestive-system overloading while the digestive
system is still weak.
